I know it's cheesy, but our new house is becoming a home; it kicks ass!

Somer and I have moved most of our stuff into our new place. We spent our first night there last night. The shower is awesome! It has a lot of pressure, which I love! Right now I'm back at the old house cleaning and gettting a few things we left here yesterday, such as my computer. Well, I've got to find something to eat and then go back to the new house and unpack a zillion boxes.
05/27/2002:
Somer and I are doing the last of the packing. We pick up the truck at 8 AM tomorrow. I may not be back online for a few days. Have fun!
05/25/2002:
What’d I do today? It doesn’t seem like much, but I filled the whole day. Of course, one always does.
05/24/2002:
I picked up the keys to my new place today. It’s a good feeling. Tomorrow I've got to go to the post office in order to get the key to the mailbox. It should be pretty boring.

Packing, packing, packing, packing, packing, packing, packing, packing and more packing!
I saw two really kick ass movies recently. Waking Life blew me away! It has really great interesting characters and the animation is amazing to watch. The DVD commentaries and extra footage really added a lot to the experience, so check it out if you have a DVD player. I can’t stop thinking about it. Also Manufacturing Consent is really interesting as well. It focuses on Noam Chomsky's political activism and his analysis of the media. I wish someone would make a film about his analysis of language, though, because it is (or at least was) pretty radical and interesting, as well.

It seems like all I did today was sleep.

Somer and I are moving on May 28. I’ve lived at my current residence for almost FOUR years! I might get homesick when I’m at the new place. I’m already packing. Man, I’ve got a lot of books—boxes and boxes of books!
I’m also looking for a summer job. I hate applying for jobs!
05/02/2002:
Somer and I may have found our new house today!

I had a shitty day. The sixth graders were making me earn my money. I only had time to eat half my lunch. Then for the last two hours I was tutoring content mastery students. That was kind of fun, but I was worn out and ready to get out of there. When I got home I complained to Somer about my day for awhile and started to feel better. Now everything is great and I’m ready to conquer tomorrow!

Hey, I love Austin public access television! I’m a recovering TV junkie, so maybe I’m replacing one form of the vice with another, but public access is blowing my mind. There are shows about movies, music, comedy, politics, S & M, massage, conspiracies, religion, puns and other stuff I can’t think of at the moment. All it needs is a show about comic books and strips. Maybe I should start one.
04/16/2002:
I had a productive weekend. Andy came down to Austin from Arlington, and we had a good Quetalby session and worked on the Talby EP. Andy put a second vocal on “V-Twin Cloudphone,” and he put a brand new double-tracked vocal on “Don’t Read My Diary,” which is a song we recorded with Michael way back in 1996 at my mom’s old house in Fort Worth.
I also put together my new comic, True Adventures in Teaching Number One: Mister Campbell!. I’m happy with the way it turned out. Maybe my next comic won’t be a bunch of talking heads, though.
04/10/2002:
I finished drawing a new mini-comic today. It's really tiny and short, but it's something. I still need to put it together, but as soon as I do I'll put up some info about it in the comics section.
