09/18/2004:
Well, my life has been turned totally upside-down. Living without Somer is very tough. I talk to her on the telephone everyday, which helps, but it can’t compare to getting a hug and kiss from her when I’ve had a hard day or doing the same for her. Work has also been very stressful. Some days I just don’t think I’m up for it, but on others I actually think I’m might be doing something good for my students. I’m in the process of re-thinking how I’m doing a lot of things though (such as the layout of my room and what I’m teaching my students). No big deal, right? Other teachers say that it does get easier, so I just try to keep that in mind.
In other news, The Evildoers played our first show at a house party last Saturday. It went really well, although I got a lot of dirt on my equipment.

08/10/2004:
I’ve started my new career as a teacher. I’m a little freaked out about it, ‘cause I now have a staggering amount of responsibility, ‘cause if I screw up, then a bunch of kids will receive an inferior education. I also have a teacher assistant working with me, and I think of her as a co-worker, but she gladly looks at me as a supervisor and wants me to tell her what to do, which is weird for me, but I’ll just have to get used to it, ‘cause I’m the teacher and I’m in charge.
As if that wasn’t enough, Somer finally moved to Fort Worth, so now I really am living alone for the first time in my life.
