03/31/2002:
Today was Easter, but it seemed like any other day to me. I didn’t do anything special. I slept in, did my workout, watched The Last Emperor, looked for a summer job, prepared and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, watched a little television, took a shower, got my stuff together for work tomorrow and did some other things. Now I’m watching Monty Python’s Flying Circus on BBC America. It is the Spanish Inquisition episode. It is amusing me.
03/16/2002:
Damn, Spring Break is almost over. It started off kind of tough at my brother’s in Dallas. My mom and I did a lot of packing and moving and then ended the trip by transporting my piano from Dallas to my mom’s place in San Antonio (thanks James, Mom, Pete and Trina for all your help getting that beast moved). I got back to Austin on Wednesday and have been taking it easy. Friday was Somer’s birthday and we had a good time going out to eat at a fancy Italian restaurant. I also watched a boatload of movies. Of the ten I watched, only Gigi was bad. That’s a pretty nice run of good movies. The two standouts would have to be Tom Jones and Sunday Bloody Sunday. Around the World in 80 Days was fun, but way too long. Oh yeah, check out www.king-cat.net and order something, ‘cause it’s all awesome.
03/09/2002:
I had a lazy Saturday. I watched a few movies, read a few comics books, took a shower, ate some food, played my electric bass and took a nap. Tomorrow I’m heading up to Dallas with my mom in order to help my brother pack for New York City.
03/07/2002:
I finally made it to the comic book store. I picked up a bunch of stuff. Hopefully it will last me through Spring Break.
03/06/2002:
For the past two days I’ve been watching 45 minutes of Long Day’s Journey Into Night five times in a row and I’ve still got two days to go.
Oh yeah, on Sunday Xander and Andrew came over and we recorded about an hours worth of music. Pretty much all of it I would rate good to awesome, which is pretty unusual when making improvised pop songs.
03/02/2002:
I got paid on Thursday! I was afraid I wouldn’t make it. Getting paid once a month is tough, man. But I made it and that’s what counts.
Xander (from Quetalby and It’s Not Rocket Science) is in Austin for his Spring Break. We met at good ol’ Crown and Anchor tonight and had a good time talking music and politics. Hopefully tomorrow we will do a little recording.
